Well things have been happening pretty fast around here, Michelle flys out next week to do a final interview with a company in Boise and we are sure they are going to offer her the job (this is the 6th interview and they are paying her whole trip, plane, hotel and rental car). I've been looking but the only dang jobs I can find are here in the bay area (I've had no less than 8 headhunters call me for position all over the bat area)

We've been planning and scheming for a while now and if she gets the offer we are throwing chance to the wind and going for it, we just can't live out here anymore. It's so flippin expensive that I worry about my kids trying to make it out on their own. I hate the crowds here, I hate the traffic and I hate going into San Francisco every week. I LOVE the people I work with, but alot of the people in SF I could certainly do without, I feel like a russian wearing a red star at a southern baptist fourth of july celebration in Texas

So is anyone here from Boise or are there ANY builders in Boise??, they have a woodcraft which is good and BobC will still ship there which is also good so I think I'm set. But I will miss being around all the great builders in the bay area, but it's time for us to leave before they start taxing us because of some other moronic reason!!!

Cheers

Big problem, so UPS FEDEX OR USPS in Idaho! Just Potato's! SO you have to smuggle in your wood with taters!

You might want to hook up with these guys. They also have a couple luthiers listed on the site.

Hi Paul,

Nothing but potatoes in Idaho. Alot of people moving up from your area. Can't understand why. This is a terrible place to live. All those mountains, rivers, forests - really get in your way.
I live in Boise and I make steel string acoustics. I know a classical builder here in the area and Bolin guitars is here. Please feel free to contact me or visit if you come up. Don't worry about shipping - we have a stage coach every week. Problem is: Nothing but potatoes up here - MIke
